Impellers are an important safety item. They are the most important component of the cooling water pump. Impellers made of neoprene are used for cooling water pumps, as the material has a mechanically high strength and can thus demand against higher back pressures.
Our safety recommendation: Check your pumps 1 x annually and then also replace your impeller. We also recommend to always have a spare impeller on board!
