The emergency equipment of a liferaft is based on the time expected to be spent on board the liferaft. According to ISO 9650-1, emergency equipment pack 1 is intended for a dwell time >24 hours. The contents are also defined by ISO 9650-1 and depend on the personnel capacity of a liferaft. Emergency Pack 1 is equipped as follows:
